UCB submits planning proposals for Phase II of its campus redevelopment
University College Birmingham has submitted proposals for a new scheme in Charlotte Street and George Street in the Jewellery Quarter.
It forms phase two of their £90 million campus redevelopment, which has already seen new facilities opened (McIntyre House) in September 2014.
There will be partial demolition of 9 Charlotte Street and 12 George Street (better known as the former home of printer James Cond), and Holland Street – currently a cobbled cut through between these two buildings – will be closed to vehicles and covered and there will be space for 220 bikes.
Details can be found in this week’s Birmingham Post.
