Current planning applications in the JQ
JQNF is a Member of the Jewellery Quarter Development Trust (JQDT). Through the Trust, a Planning Consultative Committee – comprising businesses and residents in the Quarter – meet to reviews applications and lodge comments to Birmingham City Council.

January’s planning applications include:
43 Northwood Street
– Application for a revised scheme for the erection of a four storey development of 7 town houses, duplex apartment and office building
Charlotte Street, Holland Street & George Street (UCB)
– Demolition of 21 George Street and partial demolition of No’s 9 Charlotte Street and 12 George Street to allow for the erection of University buildings and ancillary retail, restaurant, offices, health facility, sports hall and multi-storey car park
– Change of use of Holland Street from public highway to covered private University campus space and associated external alterations
– Provision of new pedestrian/cycleway between George Street and Holland Street
